Strawberry earrings with Strawberry Quartz
It is the season of fresh strawberries! These strawberry quartz beads made me smile, and I knew I wanted to make silver strawberries. I have made a necklace that is one of a kind, and this pair of earrings. The earrings potentially could be made in a small series of max. 5 pairs, but because they are on the heavier side I’m not sure.
Please note: these earrings are on the heavier side due to the Quartz! Ideally, the weight of max. 3-3.5 g per earring is comfortable (you “forget” wearing them). These are about 4,7 g per earring, so you can notice them. By contrast, I have some earrings I bought in Poland that are 6,5 g per earring and those are heavy.
The total weight of both earrings is: 9,54 g, of which 5,89 g are the beads. That leaves a Sterling Silver content of about 3,65 g.
